Patrick obtained an M.Sc. from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2002. He has been working at the Council for Geoscience (CGS) since 1996, and managed the Geophysics Unit between 2004 and 2012. He was instrumental in the airborne operation at the CGS, both on a technical and management point of view. He is currently a specialist scientist in the unit. His interests include airborne geophysics, potential field theory, multivariate statistical analysis and programming. He has worked on projects developing software for both multivariate statistical analysis and 3D modelling of potential field data.
