Nicholas Malaya

Nicholas Malaya is a researcher and graduate student at the University of Texas. His research is focused on High Performance Computing, in particular, developing and optimizing code on massively parallel machines. These simulations are Big Data, and generate many terabytes, which are then post-processed to learn models and infer properties of the underlying dynamics.

This touches on a broad set of problems in computational science, including: Predictive Modeling and Simulation, Numerical Methods, C/C++/Fortran Programming, Exascale computation, Parallel Programming Techniques (OpenMP, MPI), Verification & Validation and Uncertainty Quantification, Bayesian Probability, Statistical Inference
