Erik got his PhD in astrophysics from the University of California, Irvine, and is currently a Hubble Fellow at Yale University. His research interests focus on near-field cosmology and dwarf galaxies of the Local Group.
He has been an Python programmer and evangelist since the beginning of his research career, and is one of the founders and coordinators of the Astropy project.
