Karl Schleicher

Karl Schleicher started working in geophysics in 1975. He deployed advanced seismic processing technology for large and small geophysical contractors including GSI, Halliburton Geophysical, Western Geophysical, GDC, AGS, and PGS. He stopped working for seismic contractors in 2010 and is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Bureau of Economic Geology, the University of Texas at Austin. Karl is processing public domain seismic data with open software to validate university research and accelerate commercialization. His career has focused on the practical development, implementation, and commercialization of computer technology, especially for seismic data processing.
